>Description:
I packaged Marco d'Itri's whois client.
>How-To-Repeat:
>Fix:
I made a pkgsrc out of the whois used by Debian. I called it md-whois.
It is an improved whois that attempts to use the correct whois server.
It is available at
http://www.reedmedia.net/misc/netbsd/packages/pkgsrc-md-whois.tgz
(I do not know how to make a diff-type file to create this pkgsrc using
patch. Feel free to teach me.)
I did use pkglint, but I had numerous errors like
"FATAL: no MAINTAINER listed in Makefile" even though it is there.
Also, I am not sure on the proper mechanics of creating RCS tags for
the files. Please teach me! (Or point me to the documentation.)
