>Environment:
System: NetBSD rekusant.rivage.tjls.com 1.5S NetBSD 1.5S (GENERIC) #0: Fri Feb 23 19:45:38 EST 2001 tls@rekusant.rivage.tjls.com:/lfs/src/sys/arch/i386/compile/GENERIC i386
Architecture: i386
Machine: i386
>Description:
	The "erase" stty setting is not propagated from my machine, running
	NetBSD's OpenSSH (which identifies itself as:
	SSH Version OpenSSH_2.3.0 NetBSD_Secure_Shell-20010114) to a machine
	running an older NetBSD OpenSSH which calls itself:
	OpenSSH_2.2.0 NetBSD_Secure_Shell-20001003 if I use protocol version
	2.

	If I use protocol version 1, my '^H' stty erase setting is properly
	communicated to the other end.

>How-To-Repeat:
	stty erase ^H, then ssh -2 to another machine. Keep in mind that
	command-line editing in your shell may hide the lossage from you;
	running "cat" is a good way to see it. Note that ssh -1 does NOT
	have this problem, even with the exact same client and server.
