>Description:
Set DESTDIR in /etc/mk.conf, but not in your environment. Do
a "make release" in /usr/xsrc. Your binaries will be installed
into /usr/X11R6, but the .tgz build process at the end will
look in DESTDIR.
At present, we suggest (on web page
developers/releng/build-release.html) setting DESTDIR in the
environment. However, for the base build without X one can use
DESTDIR in /etc/mk.conf.
[I came across this whilst trying to rework the
build-release.html page.]
>How-To-Repeat:
echo "DESTDIR=/usr/destdir" >> /etc/mk.conf
cd xsrc
make release
