apply the patch from kern/13162 and start noticing messages like this:

arplookup: unable to enter address for 206.223.212.223@00:02:2d:0d:b4:c5 on ex0 (host is not on local network)

where 00:02:2d:0d:b4:c5 happens to be the address on my wi0 interface.
