So, I have a CD-ROM that was burned for me. The CD was cheap as a blank
and crashes an old MacOS box every time. 

It also crashes my NetBSD/Alpha box, an AXPpci33 with a Yamaha CD-RW drive.
When the crash happens the box can't even dump (to sd0b), and I'm not sure
what the deal is with sd2 (but it might be related to the fancy-by-my-
standards SCSI controller).
