>Description:
On a multi-homed machine, using /etc/ifconfig.xx0 and alias lines with
subnet masks other than 255.255.255.255 does not work as expected. The
aliases work fine for boxes outside the network, but they cannot be reached
from the box. To fix this, all aliases on the subnet should have netmasks
of 255.255.255.255. This hint should be put into the man page for ifconfig,
the man page for ifalias, and the installation documentation.
