System: NetBSD roystonvasey.local 1.5.2 NetBSD 1.5.2 (GATE) #5: Sat Aug 18 23:28:50 BST 2001 cjep@roystonvasey.local:/exports/src-1.5/sys/arch/i386/compile/GATE i386
>Description:
This is on i386, but may be relevant to other platforms.
On the install floppy (boot-big.fs) which is used as the CD-ROM boot
image, the default directory for the binary sets has i386 at the
beginning, which does not exist on a CD-ROM made with "make iso-image"
in src/etc.
>How-To-Repeat:
Make a release CD. e.g.
setenv DESTDIR /usr/destdir
setenv RELEASEDIR /usr/release
cd /usr/src && make release && cd ../xsrc && make release
cd /usr/src/etc && make iso-image
Use the CD to boot a machine and choose CD-ROM as install method.
>Fix:
Perhaps an architecture directory should be made in $RELEASEDIR,
or something along those lines.
