Cannot get to this point, Install problem
>Description:
Trying to install on Intel ISP 2150G.
It has 256MB Ram, 1 CPU (SMP Capable), 440GX Motherboard, AIC 7XXX SCSI, 2 Cheetah UW SCSI Disks.
The error I get is a Sense (4) Invalid Geometry Error and it cannot fdisk the file systems and drops me to shell.
On the LINUX mailing list there was a problem reported with 440GX motherboards, 1 CPU, and AIC Controller and a workaround was posted. This workaround worked for Linux but I am trying to find one for NetBSD as I really like this version of Unix.
The Linux related issue and workaround is is at:
http://people.redhat.com/dledford/440gx/index.html
I searched these archives, google, and dejanews to no avail...
>How-To-Repeat:
Problem seems to exist on all Intel ISP 2150G systems, or machines with Intel 440GX Motherboards with one CPU (rather than 2), and Adaptec AIC 7xxx Ultra Wide SCSI Controller.
