System: NetBSD piglet 1.5.2 NetBSD 1.5.2 (PIGLET) #0: Thu Feb 7 17:01:30 EST 2002 lars@piglet:/usr/src/sys/arch/i386/compile/PIGLET i386
>Description:
The sysutils/aperture packages, necessary for XFree86 to run with a
secure kernel, appears to be broken. The build is looking for:
.../pub/NetBSD/packages/distfiles/aperture-2.0/apNetBSD.shar
But there is no 'aperture-2.0' directory in the distfiles directory
on any of the ftp servers it tries to contact.
>How-To-Repeat:
cd /usr/pkgsrc/sysutils/aperture
make
>Fix:
Rumour has it that the official source for this module is distributed as
part of XFree86. If this is true, it should probably just be made part of the
base X11 package, since it is necessary for X to function if the
user has turned off the INSECURE option when building a kernel.
The sysutils/aperture package should either be removed from pkgsrc,
or kept in sync with the XFree86 source.
