>Description:
With abiword (editors/abiword/Makefile,v 1.44) all words are
mispelled. All words are underlined red. And when I use "Check
Spelling" it shows all my words are mispelled and doesn't even show
any possible replacements (other than "?").
In and in the spelling Preferences, it has a choice "Suggest from
main dictionary only" that is grayed out (and unselectable).
And it has a drop down menus for "Custom Dictionary" that say "custom.dic"
and "Dictionary..." that are also grayed out and unavailable. (So I am not
allowed to try another dictionary.)
I have ispell-base-3.1.20nb1.
International Ispell Version 3.1.20 10/10/95
And ispell works (using American English).
>How-To-Repeat:
Use abiword and spell a multicharacter, all lowercase word (with no digits)
correctly. And see it underlined in red. Try to use the spelling preferences.
Try to run a spell check and see if you have any choices other than "?"
>Fix:
Don't know. I do see there are two dictionaries in the build directory
for both Endian types. Maybe wrong one is used.
work/abiword-0.99.3//abidistfiles/dictionary
BigEndian32.american.hash
LittleEndian32.american.hash
So it is built or expecting the wrong hash.
Or maybe abiword is looking in Abisuite/dictionary which doesn't exist
instead of using shared system ispell files. Well maybe not,
/usr/pkg/share/AbiSuite/dictionary/american.hash links to the existing
/usr/pkg/lib/american.hash
I do see that it is a different size than the *Endian32.american.hash files.
