System: NetBSD bsd2 1.6I NetBSD 1.6I (GENERIC) #2: Tue Oct 22 15:05:13 BST 2002 root@bsd2:/usr/current/syssrc/sys/arch/i386/compile/GENERIC i386
Architecture: i386
Machine: i386
>Description:
Attempting to use a Belkin USB CompactFlash reader results in the
system crashing. It appears that the umass driver is incorrectly
reporting the CF card geometry. I have had no problems using the
CF card on an HP Jornada (hpcarm port). I am having to use FreeBSD
to read the CF card, and it works perfectly.
>How-To-Repeat:
Boot up the machine with a CF card in the reader. The kernel will
panic.
Example when using a 64MB CF card:
umass0 at uhub0 port 1 configuration 1 interface 0
umass0: SCM Microsystems Inc. eUSB CompactFlash Adapter, rev 1.10/2.18, addr 2
scsibus0 at umass0: 2 targets, 1 lun per target
uhub0: port error, restarting port 2
uhub0: port error, giving up port 2
scsibus0: waiting 2 seconds for devices to settle.
sd0 at scsibus0 target 1 lun 0: <eusb, CompactFlash, > disk removable
sd0: 15687MB, 131076 cyl, 22 head, 0 sec, 128256 bytes/sect x 128256 sectors.
WARNING: old BSD partition ID!
panic: allocbuf: buffer larget than MAXBSIZE requested
