System: NetBSD brushtail.apana.org.au 1.6I NetBSD 1.6I (Brushtail) #79: Sun Oct 20 20:47:05 EST 2002 root@brushtail.apana.org.au:/root/Brushtail i386
Architecture: i386
Machine: i386
>Description:
The www/ap-php3 package 'is next to useless'.
	Problems include:
. cgi-bin/php is created as a soft-link, that apache will
	   reject for security reasons.
. the mod_php3.so module is dependent on the dynamic library of
libgdbm.so, that is unavailable in httpd's own LD_LIBRARY_PATH.
	   (copying gdbm.so to /usr/lib/ is a less-than-ideal workaround)
. no information is given/appended for the necessary modifications
	   to httpd.conf to enable php.
. and doubtless others... (that I know are out there, because after 4
hours of 'this refuses to work the way all the documentation
says it should', I still can't get the thing going..)
