>Release: NetBSD 1.6 and NetBSD 1.6_STABLE
>Organization:
The NetBSD Project
>Environment:
System: NetBSD 1.6 on SPARC
Architecture: sparc
Machine: sparc
>Description:
I attempted to install NetBSD 1.6 on an SS5/170 this evening.
Everything worked until I got to /usr/mdec/binstall:
assertion "size > 0" failed: file "/autobuild/netbsd-1-6/usr/usr.sbin/installboot/ffs.c", line 85, function "ffs_read_disk_block"
and thus did the installation fail.
I ftp'd the latest 1.6_STABLE from releng.netbsd.org, and tried again.
Same error.
I tried to repeat this on a stable, boring SS20.
Same error.
Our installboot is hosed. How did we release this way?
