NetBSD 1.5 (MYDEF) #3: Wed Dec 6 14:47:43 CET 2000 (old system)
NetBSD 1.6 installation kernel from .../pmax/binary/kernel/netbsd-INSTALL.gz
>Description:
I tried to upgrade my 1.5 installation to 1.6 as instructed by the
installation manual. I booted netbsd-INSTALL.gz which starts sysinst.
When selecting the upgrade option, I can navigate through the menus
and enter the abbreviation keys for the menu items. But after sysinst
updated the disklabel it wants to know if to do a full or a custom
install, and navigation is no more possible. The only keys that work
are Enter (which is not an option!), Ctrl-C to interrupt the program
and Ctrl-Z to put it in the background.
Both rcons (with monitor and keyboard) and a vt100 terminal as
serial console at port 3 (and probably all other terminals too)
won't work, the result is always the same.
>How-To-Repeat:
Follow the installation instruction in INSTALL.(ps|html|txt) for
upgrading from a previous NetBSD installation.
