>Description:
My PCMCIA external CD reports being able to support DMA, but probably cant. When accessed by NetBSD, it turns itself off, making install impossible.
It can install windows - presumably because WIndows won't try to use the DMA. I am sure there is a way to tell NetBSD not to attempt DMA, but I cant find how to do it in the docs.
This needs to be obvious in the docs at the same place in install.* as the PCMCIA configuration stuff.
>How-To-Repeat:
RTFM! - the docs don't say this, o=r if they do, its not in the right place, or the necessary references are missing.
>Fix:
Add explanation to install.*
I assume there IS an easy way to configure the driver duing install, or at least some way to use ddb to do it. (Its easy in FreeBSD)
