(1) the default selection for the terminal type, when using the
    boot-com*.fs floppies, is wsvt25.

    It seems very unlikely that people doing an install via
    serial console will be doing it from a console terminal port
    on another NetBSD system.  More likely?  xterm.

    Ideally, the user should be prompted.  (obviously, for the
    non-serial boot blocks, the existing default is OK.)

(2) there is no xterm termcap entry at all, in the i386 boot
    floppies' termcap file.  given that that's a likely terminal
    for people to use, it would be good to support it.  Failing
    that, a 'compatible' termcap entry should be provided (the
    existing vt100 entry is in fact probably OK), but should have
    an xterm alias.

(3) it might be nice for sysinst to automatically determine the size
    of xterm-ish terminals.

trying doing a NetBSD/i386 1.6.1 install via a serial console,
when accessing the serial console via an xterm (normal-sized,
i.e., 80x24).

note that e.g. screen redraws are screwed up, because the default
terminal type includes a larger screen than normal-sized xterm.
