>Description:
Subversion requires Apache 2 to build. This fails if Apache 1 is installed,
and given that Apache 2 support packages are not yet fully-featured, asking
everyone who wants to run Subversion to impact their services might not be
reasonable.
>How-To-Repeat:
Install /usr/pkgsrc/www/apache. Try to install /usr/pkgsrc/devel/subversion.
>Fix:
Subversion requires Apache 2's APR libraries. However, Subversion is able
to build them as part of its own build process, thus obviating the need for
the whole Apache 2 package.
Apache 2 is required to offer one's repository over the Internet, so I
suppose a decision must be made as to whether or not it's worth making the
package available in the more restricted form. For me, it seems worthwhile.
