These are my preliminary changes to the VAX hardware reference to bring it up to date.  Changes to the machine sections have been substantial; changes to other sections have been minimal as I have my doubts about the usefulness of some of them.  Given that I don't have CVS write access, this seemed the fastest way to get these changes reviewed/applied.
