Tyan Tiger MPX 2466N-4M
3.5 GB RAM
Dual Athlon MP 1600
>Description:
While trying to install NetBSD 1.6.1 on dual Athlon MP 3.5G RAM
system (Tyan Tiger MPX 2466N-4M), the install boot panics.
It does not matter whether the machine boots from the 1.6.1 CD
or from boot1.fs/boot2.fs; the result is the same.
The boot recognized CPU0 correctly, the amount of memory
correctly, then panics with the following:
...
total memory = 3583 MB
panic: cpu_startup: cannot allocate VM for buffers
Stopped in pid 0 () at 0xc0270530: leave
