>Description:
After installing pkgsrc on RedHat and Debian distributions I just found out, that the bootstrap-binary packages do not contain program "patch". As long as it is obvious, that pkgsrc needs gcc - and I installed gcc on both distributions first - it is not that obvious, that they don't include "patch" by default.
So, I suggest adding "patch" to bootstrap-binary packages. It is not really that needed, but it would make pkgsrc installation on Linux-based OS' less painful.
>How-To-Repeat:
1) install Debian with Debian's mini-iso
2) apt-get gcc
3) install bootstrap-binary for Debian
4) bmake any package, that has patches
>Fix:
Include "patch" in pkgsrc-bootstrap-binary packages
