Architecture: powerpc
Machine: macppc
>Description:
The GENERIC kernel for macppc is apparently incapable of running
the XF4 X server. It tries to open /dev/mem (why it does this on
macppc is beyond me), which fails because the GENERIC kernel does
not have "options INSECURE".
>How-To-Repeat:
Try to run the XF4 X server on a G4 with a GENERIC kernel.
>Fix:
This is worked around by adding "options INSECURE" to the kernel.
