NetBSD maggie.delcam.com 1.6ZG NetBSD 1.6ZG (MAGGIE) #0: Tue Jan 6 21:45:09 GMT 2004 root@maggie.delcam.com:/usr/src/sys/arch/i386/compile/MAGGIE i386
>Description:
File-roller expects gnu tar to read any compressed or uncompressed tar archive. The standard NetBSD tar (linked to pax) outputs a summary line which confuses file-roller and the contents displayed is incorrect.
>How-To-Repeat:
Open any .tar.gz , tar.bz2, .tar.Z or .tar file with file-roller.
>Fix:
Modifying file-roller to depend on archivers/gtar and patching fr-command-c to invoke gnutar solves the problem:
*** fr-command-tar.c Wed Jan 21 22:15:29 2004

fr_process_add_arg (comm->process, "--force-local");
fr_process_add_arg (comm->process, "-tvf");
fr_process_add_arg (comm->process, comm->e_filename);
