spltty() is already used a lot in other places of wscons but agreed
it's overkill. Nonetheless, anything beyond is too complicated for me
but I think it should be almost trivial for the ones who wrote wscons.
I'd think you just have to lock a mutex in one of the switch routines
and release it when the switch is complete.
