Enami Tsugutomo <enami@but-b.or.jp> came to the rescue by suggesting 
I add code for the 6650's bridge to sys/arch/i386/pci/pchb.c.  I 
inserted this line

case PCI_PRODUCT_SERVERWORKS_CIOB30:

after this one (line 150):

case PCI_PRODUCT_SERVERWORKS_CIOBX2:

compiled a release and found the 6650's disk could be accessed, see
