>Environment:
System: NetBSD reg11 1.6.2 NetBSD 1.6.2 (GENERIC) #0: Wed Feb 11 07:11:23 UTC 2004 autobuild@tgm.netbsd.org:/autobuild/netbsd-1-6-PATCH002/shark/OBJ/autobuild/netbsd-1-6-PATCH002/src/sys/arch/shark/compile/GENERIC shark
Architecture: arm
Machine: shark
>Description:
Apparently the shark netbsd.INSTALL kernel from 1.6.1 and 1.6.2 is a
little too large for the boot PROM to load.
>How-To-Repeat:
Try to boot netbsd.INSTALL from 1.6.1 or 1.6.2, and get a Data Abort
message from the shark's boot PROM. Note that 1.6 works fine.
>Fix:
Trim a little from the install kernel, or find some way around the
boot firmware limitation. (Two stage boot, firmware patch, self-
decompressing kernel, etc.)
