I'd hazard a guess that the 'file system full' message is actually
being output because sysinst is trying to core dump.

The 'progress meter' stuff is almost certainly a red herring, and just
perterbs whatever is causing the problem.

I actually thought we'd fixed all the obvious core dumps in sysinst for 1.6.2,
2.0 should be a lot better anyway...
