nvram patches are from MacOS 9.2.2 StartupDisk control panel.

Install 2.0 RC1 snapshot from an ISO9660 cdrom made with mkisofs -l -L -r -R

I can boot from the CDROM with boot ide1/@0:0,OFWBOOT.XCF;1 -a
then boot netbsd from the cdrom and point the root device at wd0a and everything works. I then ran installboot -m macppc -t ffs /dev/rwd0c bootxx ofwboot

There is no file named boot in / so I'm assuming ofwboot is the correct file for the secondary loader. There's no example of installing the boot strap in the installboot man page.

There's a post to the macppc mailing list from a G4 owner who looks to be having similar problems with ofwboot.xcf
