At his point the system locks up and does not respond to mouse or keyboard input with the exception of STOP-A which brought the system to the prom prompt.

On occasion, the above will be followed by a kernal panic and reboot rather than locking up.

Executing "test floppy" from the prom yields a successful test.

Running "eject floppy" from within NetBSD yields the same errors documented above, however the floppy *is* ejected.  Pressing enter gets me back to a unix command line prompt.
