System: NetBSD er1.work.local 2.0_RC4 NetBSD 2.0_RC4 (ERACKS_ACPI) #0: Thu Oct 28 12:46:35 EDT 2004 jlam@blossom.work.local:/export/sources/netbsd-2-0/amd64/obj/sys/arch/amd64/compile/ERACKS_ACPI amd64
Architecture: x86_64
Machine: amd64
>Description:
I have a dual-processor Opteron on a Tyan K8S motherboard. There are two
on-board bge devices and one fxp device.
After configuring bge0 with:
ifconfig bge0 inet 10.0.1.6 netmask 255.255.255.0 up
if I execute "ifconfig -a", the kernel panics. A backtrace (copied
by hand) shows:
lapic_delay
bge_miibus_readreg
brgphy_status
mii_phy_status
brgphy_service
mii_pollstat
bge_ifmedia_sts
ifmedia_ioctl
bge_ioctl
ifioctl
sys_ioctl
syscall_plain
Doing the same thing on bge1 doesn't appear to cause any problems. The
dmesg for my machine is:
