Probably the kernel is INSTALL rather then GENERIC.
Architecture: i386
Machine: i386
>Description:
	I have installed a NetBSD 2.0_RC4 on the ATA-Disk.
After booting on the ATA-dsik the old NetBSD filesystem on the
	SCSI disk can be accessed.
However when trying to upgrade the system on the SCSI disk strange
messages appear when trying to access the SCSI disk.
When the selection menu of the available disks appears the following
	message appears:

sd0(siop0:0:15:0): command aborted, data = 00 00 00 4d 01 00 00 00 00 00 1a 00 01 00 14 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 05 00 00 00 00 02 22 00 00 1a 08 04 00 1c 00 00 00

After selecting the SCSI disk more messages appear:

DMA IRQ: Illegal instruction DMA fifo empty, DSP=0X20C5A288 DSA=0x1cdb14c: last msg_in=0x4 status 0xff
siop0: scsi bus reset

Dmesg.boot taken from the NetBSD on ATA-system:
