>Description:
The Netpliance i-Opener, a i586, fails to boot with NetBSD 2.0 and 1.6.2. The boot loader loads, counts down, and then loads the kernel. The loading of the kernel appears to work because the spinner spins, but it hangs at this line:

5521888+113128+342724 [307126+258209]=0x63e904

The numbers shown above are from the default NetBSD 1.6.2 kernel and differ on NetBSD 2.0's default kernel and other custom kernels; however the point at which the kernel fails is the same despite which kernel or NetBSD release is used. The default kernels from NetBSD 2.0 and 1.6.2 were tested as were three kernels built from the GENERIC, GENERIC_TINY, and IOPENER configuration files on NetBSD 2.0.
>How-To-Repeat:
Place a 2.5" hard disk in a PC with a CD-ROM drive and install either NetBSD 2.0 or 1.6.2. Move the hard disk into the i-Opener and power it on.
