So far so good on my sparc. I'm going to leave it for a day or so to  
be certain, but the workload that would typically cause the crash in  
the past (heavy imap usage) seems stable so far.

I'll update the issue tomorrow with more details. In the meantime,  
yamt, can you request a pullup for these patches to the 3.0 branch?
