I am still getting those occasional panics, using a rather recent
2.0_STABLE kernel (cvs updated netbsd-2 branch and compiled Thu Jul 21
15:00:03 EDT).
The filesystem is far from full (I had probably made wrong assumptions
that it could be related to the frequency of those panics before).
NetBSD hal.xisop 2.0_STABLE NetBSD 2.0_STABLE (HAL) #2: Thu Jul 21
15:00:03 EDT 2005 root@hal.xisop:/usr/src/sys/arch/i386/compile/HAL
i386
It is rather annoying, and I'm pretty sure that it's not a hardware
problem, I am consistently only getting that single panic, I never get
crashed or inconsistencies other than that. It seems to happen at every
two days or so when running amule. The system load does not seem to
matter, it happens when the system is mostly idle most of the time.
I'm not versed enough into uvm to be able to find what's wrong, I have
been tempted to hack that assertion out a few times however, but I
expect that it wouldn't help and other problems could occur.
