The problem is that many of the parties involved in processing the amd
map handle the escaping backslashes specially. You'll end up with
'\\\/\\\/' for two backslashes in the case of a file map, and
'\\\\\\/\\\\\\/' for a NIS map. And of course you then cannot mix file
and NIS maps.

Sounds good...

If I got around to do it (which may happen since all the clients here
are running netbsd-2) the pkg would start out in pkg-wip, anyway.
