System: NetBSD starbuck.kasbah 3.99.9 NetBSD 3.99.9 (GENERIC.me) #1: Sun Oct 9 03:10:18 CEST 2005 imago@starbuck.kasbah:/usr/sources/cvs.netbsd.org/src/sys/arch/alpha/compile/GENERIC.me alpha
Architecture: alpha
Machine: alpha
>Description:
The current autobuild system doesn't build and release the XFree86 xserver
itself but only XdecNetBSD and XalphaNetBSD whereas PCI based Alpha
machines like the DEC PWS 500au require the XFree86 server for the generic
graphic cards also found in i386 machines.

I'm currently running :
	XFree86 Version 4.4.0
	Release Date: 29 February 2004
	X Protocol Version 11, Revision 0, Release 6.6
Build Operating System: NetBSD/alpha 2.0_RC4 [ELF] The NetBSD Foundation, Inc.
	Build Date: 03 November 2004

wich i once compiled from the source tree myself. Its running fine so i
think its just not enabled by default.

>How-To-Repeat:
"tar tzvf .../alpha/installation/sets/xserver.tgz" doesn't list XFree86.

>Fix:
Enable it somewhere in the make script.
