I compiled and installed xmix.
When I launch it, I get the following message:
sam@zephyr:/usr/pkgsrc/audio/xmix$ xmix
Invalid recording source!
Invalid recording source!
Invalid recording source!

I tried to run that command:
sam@zephyr:/usr/pkgsrc/audio/xmix$ sudo audioctl -w play.gain=3D255
play.gain: -> 127
The value would remain the same.
Not sure what the problem is.
