 To perhaps solve both PR/33080 and PR/33081, can you apply the patch
 at http://www.babymeat.com/~dogcow/crap/tmp/est.c-1.23.patch and let
 me know the results?
 
 (It works so far on my P-M 750, and I'll test it on a second box at
 work tomorrow, but the 738 is the most interesting corner case - i.e.
 the one most likely to be gotten wrong.)
