System: NetBSD enki.goathill.org 3.0.0_STABLE NetBSD 3.0.0_STABLE (APMVIA) #0: Thu Mar 30 16:20:17 CST 2006 build@enki.goathill.org:/opt/obj/opt/src/sys/arch/i386/compile/APMVIA i386
Architecture: i386
Machine: i386
>Description:

If more than one monitor is connected to either of two different
dual-headed radeon cards that I have, on either of two i386 boxes
that have been upgraded to NetBSD 3.0.0_STABLE, the second time
that X11 is brought to the front by any of startx, xdm, xscreensaver
shutting down, or togging to a console and back to the X screen,
the box freezes. All works fine as long as only one display is
*connected* when the bios comes up. If more than one display (either
one) is connected (can even be turned off), the problem occurs.
Using 'radeon' or 'ati' as the driver name

>How-To-Repeat:

Upgrade to NetBSD 3.0.0_STABLE from 2.1_STABLE, where all is working
fine. Run XFree86 -configure with dual monitors, and run X11 twice
using that configuration. The second time the box will freeze.
