>Release: NetBSD 3.99.23 (sources sync'd July 27, 2006)
>Organization:
	n/a
>Environment:
System: NetBSD shog.sudog.com 3.99.20 NetBSD 3.99.20 (GENERIC.MPACPI) #0: Sat May 20 19:16:43 PDT 2006 root@khan.sudog.com:/v/netbsd/src/sys/arch/i386/compile/GENERIC.MPACPI i386
Architecture: i386
Machine: i386
(Currently running i386 because that *does* work.)
>Description:
Intel D945GNTL motherboards with built-in video based on
"Intel® GMA 950 onboard graphics subsystem" with or without a
PCI nVidia TNT2-64 video card installed generates (from memory!)

	cnopen: no console device
	panic: error no /dev/console
>How-To-Repeat:
Build your own amd64 installer, or build your own netbsd-3.0_STABLE
	or download the boot1.fs/boot2.fs from:
	/pub/NetBSD-daily/netbsd-3/200607240000Z/amd64/installation/floppy
... and then try to boot on the following machine:
	Intel Pentium D 930 (dual core, EM64T)
Intel D945GNTL Motherboard with Intel GMA 950 gfx onboard
	1 GB RAM

Think onboard video is the problem after reading mailing list notes
regarding cnopen() failing after iterating incorrectly through
multiple vga devices, and install nVidia TNT2-64 PCI board hanging
around into it. Watch it all fail all over again.
>Fix:
Getting the machine running NetBSD requires plain i386 install disks,
which work (almost) perfectly, except for a dmesg with lots of ^M in
	it.
