 It didn't until very recently.
 The problem is that checking the partition type isn't enough, it has to
 look at the magic number in the disklabel.
 
 Since 'cvs diff -r HEAD . |wc' n the netbsd-3 brach reports 5409 lines 
 of differences, a full pullup of sysinst for 3.1 isn't going to happen!
 
 It might be possible to isolate the relevant change...
