 I installed NetBSD 3.1 on the same Dell 2450, and then upgraded to
 4.0 Beta 2 by uncompressing the install tar files. This problem is
 also in the GENERIC.MPACPI kernel from Mar 1. I haven't yet been
 able to test a later kernel (the machine crashed for unknown reasons
 building the world last night), but that is high on my agenda
 for tonight.
