 Hi again,

I've integrated the latest changes from branch-3 into the wm driver.
The change in if_wm.c function wm_gmii_mediachange() has solved the
problem. (and the 82573 is supported now ...)
Now it works. Thanks for the hint.

 By the way:
It was nessesary to get it directly from the cvs-web - even in the daily
netbsd-3-1 tar file the update is not included !?!?!?!
 The file is "-rw-r--r-- 1 611 611 28735862 Apr 22 20:14 syssrc.tgz"
 on ftp.netbsd.org in directory /pub/NetBSD-daily/netbsd-3-1/source/sets.
Is it possible that there is an update problem of the archives?

Neverless the "strange" handling of the tick-values to determine the
time where a reset should occure in makphy.c I've found and reported in
 this problem-report, should be reviewed.

From my point the problem report can be closed.
