 Yes. I just tried with a GENERIC+ichlpcib kernel and got:
 
 acpilid0: lid closed.
 Executed AML Breakpoint opcode
 Stopped in pid 0.3 (system) at  netbsd:cpu_Debugger+0x4:        popl    %ebp
 db> acpilid0: lid opened.
 
 Just continuing from ddb after opening the lid still works.
