        The old mail-index.netbsd.org pages had a per-month overview
        page <http://mail-index.NetBSD.org/source-changes/oindex.html>
        that can be very handy when you are looking for a mail
        (thread) from a while back.

        All the new index offers is
        <http://mail-index.NetBSD.org/source-changes/index.html> which
        can be daunting on high-traffic list. The per-thread view
        doesn't help much, either, on e.g. source-changes, or
        netbsd-bugs.

        On top of that, switching from mails on the new index to the
        old index by the provided "[Old Index]" link usually doesn't
        work. E.g. clicking "[Old Index]" on
        <http://mail-index.NetBSD.org/source-changes/2008/06/21/msg207139.html>
        leads to
        <http://mail-index.NetBSD.org/source-changes/2008/06/oindex.html>,
        which is a four-oh-four.

>How-To-Repeat:
        
        Look for a source-changes mail from a month or three back for
        a pull-up request. Find that you cannot just go to the
        respective month as it used to be for ten years, but instead
        have to click through umpteen pages.

        While there, notice that links to the old index are frequently
        dangling.

        Yes, please.  While the new  mail-index.netbsd.org is visually
        more pleasing, important functionality has been lost.
