 One extra bit of info that might help people get java6 working: it seems 
 to need more file descriptors than java 1.5, so I was getting all sorts 
 of odd errors and slow behaviour until I bumped up the ulimit for that 
 to 1024.  (openfiles-cur in login.conf).
