>Release: NetBSD/hpcmips 4.0.1
>Organization:
None
>Environment:
GENERIC hpcmips 4.0.1 kernel
>Description:
A wireless card, made by Proxim and labelled "Harmony 802.11b PC Card" does not
function properly under NetBSD/hpcmips, whereas it DOES function properly under
NetBSD/i386.
The card is found and activated properly, however, when trying to connect to or
scan for APs, it merely "goes through the motions" but never connects or finds
anything, as if the entire radio section of the card is not responding while
everything else is. No errors are mentioned upon attachment of the card, and no
amount of attaching, detaching, resetting, etc will cause the card to function
correctly.
This occurs on both an:
NEC MobilePro 750c
NEC MobilePro 880
>How-To-Repeat:
I purchased this card from WeirdStuff some time ago for fairly cheap, I haven't
checked but they may still have in stock, if they do then one could be had to
run tests with.
>Fix:
Not known.
