Don't know exactly (see below for dmesg output), but it's something like 
"NetBSD 5.0-RELEASE i386". My cpu is a Compaq Presario F572US (AMD64x2 1.7 Ghz, 
TK-53, 1 GB RAM, circa 2007).

>How-To-Repeat:
Grab the 5.0 i386 liveCD from http://www.jibbed.org and try booting. It only 
boots if both ACPI *and* SMP are disabled, avoiding only one or the other 
doesn't work, it just hangs before reaching prompt.
>Fix:
No fix, but the workaround is to disable ACPI and SMP, e.g. use boot option #4 
(I think), then everything seems to work fine (besides the obvious lack of a 
second core, heh).
