From the submitter's POV (long, long ago, in a different galaxy...) the
original panic was fixed; and the issue of hanging ftp sessions that came
up later is not reproducible. The server in question has been relocated to
a different town and a different network, and sits behind a different
router (netbsd-5/pf instead of openbsd-??/pf). On top of that, I haven't
run ipfilter on any machine in a while.
Bottom line: I suggest the PR be closed.
