>Description:
In rc.conf, the following enables wpa_supplicant to start and
apparently associate with my new wireless LAN...
wpa_supplicant=YES
wpa_supplicant_flags="-B -irum0 -c/etc/wpa_supplicant.conf"
"ifconfig rum0" yields the following...
rum0: flags=8843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
ssid 5tup1d nwkey 65536:"",{deleted},"",""
powersave off
bssid 00:26:82:dc:f3:e7 chan 9
address: 00:1c:df:1d:0e:8d
media: IEEE802.11 autoselect (OFDM24 mode 11g)
status: active
inet6 fe80::21c:dfff:fe1d:e8d%rum0 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x2
Any attempt I have made to assign an IP address, either using
dhclient, dhcpcd or manually assigning one with ifconfig produces
the error "rum0: could not open Tx pipe: IN_USE".
