Unfortunately, I just ran the same test program compiled with `gcc -pthread` on
NetBSD 5.99.56 (FICUS) #6: Sun Oct 30 00:14:18 CEST 2011
troot@ficus:/usr/obj/sys/arch/i386/compile/FICUS i386

And it still says:
